Join Us Today

TIBD is a community centered on connection, collaboration, and genuine support for building designers across Texas. We’re here to lift one another up through shared knowledge, code guidance, mentorship, and ongoing conversations about the work we do and how we do it. We also actively protect the right to practice residential design in Texas through a dedicated lobbyist, especially since there are ongoing efforts by outside groups to limit who can design homes.

Our annual convention brings members together from around the state for CEUs, product knowledge, camaraderie, and our annual awards ceremony that honors winners of the TIBD Design Competition. With regular events like monthly zoom calls to discuss topics of special interest to building designers and regional meetups that include social mixers and showroom and factory tours, we create meaningful opportunities for learning, advocacy, and community.

Membership isn’t about gatekeeping – it’s about joining a group that values integrity, professionalism, and helping every designer succeed.
